Commonly Asked Questions
What does RCA do?
Resource Corporation of
America's primary service offering provides revenue cycle solutions to help
hospital facilities determine which of their self-pay and uninsured patients
qualify for any of the government provided assistance programs. Our
highly-skilled and compassionate representatives work on-site at the hospital
facility to screen patients and determine eligibility. When a patient is found
to be eligible for one of the government assistance programs, RCA team members
will work directly with the patient to educate and assist them with the
application and document gathering process and will follow-up with the
appropriate agency to confirm acceptance of the application and payment to your
facility for services rendered.
In addition to our primary
service offering of
Third-Party Self-Pay Eligibility, RCA also offers hospital facilities
several added service options. These additional services include; electronic batch filing utilizing our
Eligibility Scan Program to recover missed Medicaid
dollars, Out-of-State Medicaid Billing and Enrollment,
Third-Party Liability Lien Filing for motor vehicle accidents, and
Point-of-Service Financial Counseling.

Are you a collections company?
No, RCA is not a collections company. We
offer several healthcare revenue cycle solutions; however, our primary focus
remains on discovering whether or not a hospital's uninsured and self-pay
patients are eligible to receive government assistance to cover their medical
bills. RCA's highly trained staff are skilled at identifying which of your self-pay or
uninsured patients qualify to receive government medical assistance and if so,
which program they will qualify for. Our staff will walk each patient through
the application, documentation gathering and submission process and will
follow-up with the agency to confirm acceptance of the application and well as
payment to your facility for services rendered.
